Walk, carry and move it with ease

Marketday has its origins at the local farmers market, where buying and carrying fresh food was becoming a difficult task for us. Every week we struggled with crushed food in heavy tote bags, a trolley that would not fold and nowhere to put our coffee so we could shop hands free. It was tricky, inconvenient, and often hot work that would turn even the most dedicated people off the markets.

Thoughtfully designed

So, we started to mull over what was needed so that we could shop more easily at markets and keep supporting our farmers.

Today’s design is the result of conversations, people watching and of internet searches to see what was being used here and around the world. We looked at the problems people were having, and we asked them what would make things better. We bought a range of different versions and tried them out. We created one in our back shed and called her Berta.

What we found was that the world needed a better solution because the activity of moving stuff happens everywhere.

Moving stuff, made easier

In cities around the world, people walk from A to B with their stuff. They buy food & groceries and cart it home; they walk to parks for picnics – with food and other stuff. They walk around their office buildings and places of work – moving stuff.

Stuff goes up stairs, downstairs, over roads, across fields, on escalators and on ferries. Stuff sits next to us in a café, follows us into classrooms and needs a way to get from the car to the kitchen bench.

Life just got easier!

Marketday has designed a cart that solves your

stuff-carrying problems.

We’ve thrown in stylish for good measure.
